From the paradise that is Noosa Heads, Queensland - Cooper now travels the world surfing and competing. He's a full-time frother and shack hunter who won the 2018 Australian open men’s title on the Gold Coast. He's definitely one to keep an eye on for future competitions and events. Next up in our Gage Roads Summer Surf Coast series we chat to long-time local, Winki charger, and respected shaper, Michael Van Der Klooster… AKA Vanda. The new factory seems about five times bigger isn’t just a shaping shed but also a retail outlet for all things surf.
From his first blog with us in July 2018 - we got back in touch with 18 year-old up-and-comer Ashton Herman from Cali, and asked him a few questions about how his photography has evolved over the years.
